Direct-to-Customer, Flexible Production
Fezapew was founded in 2024 by a small group of wood artisans and interior designers who share a love for nature. From the very beginning, the idea was simple: furniture doesn’t have to be just a household item. It can also be a piece of “functional art” – something useful, yet beautiful, that feels alive in a home.
Fezapew follows a direct-to-customer model, which means every piece goes straight from the workshop to the customer without passing through middlemen. This approach keeps things simple, helps maintain fair pricing, and makes it easier to adjust quickly to each unique order.
The workshop is located in Abilene, Tx, with an area of about 120 m². Though it’s a small space, it is fully equipped with the essentials – a CNC cutting machine, sanding tools, and a finishing room for protective oils. There is also a small display corner where the latest designs and ongoing works are shown.
Most of Fezapew’s customers are people who appreciate handmade furniture, especially in the United States. Many are between 28 and 45 years old, drawn to rustic, natural, and sustainable décor styles, looking for ways to make their living spaces more unique, beautiful, and long-lasting.
Main Products – Handmade Tree Bookshelves
Fezapew focuses on creating handmade wooden bookshelves, with two main product lines. The ready-made line includes tree-shaped bookshelves, wall-mounted shelves, and decorative designs that are produced ahead of time and kept in stock for quick orders. Alongside this, there is a personalized service where customers can request adjustments to size, shape, carvings, or finishes to fit their individual spaces.
To keep the quality consistent, Fezapew selects pine, oak, and driftwood from trusted suppliers with clear origins. Most bookshelves carry a load of about 15 to 20 kg, with wooden boards around 18–20 mm thick. Each surface is treated against termites and finished with natural oils to protect the wood and bring out its character.
The designs are meant to keep their form over many years, resisting warping and remaining easy to clean. For the best care, a simple wipe with a dry or damp cloth is usually enough, while avoiding direct harsh sunlight or very damp environments helps the shelves last even longer.
Production Process & Quality Control – Doing Things Carefully from the Start
Every bookshelf at Fezapew goes through a careful process with many steps. Once the natural wood arrives, it is always checked for moisture levels, wood grain, and strength. This first step might sound simple, but it’s what gives each piece a solid foundation right from the beginning.
In the crafting stage, Fezapew blends traditional woodworking with CNC support. The machines help with precision, while the hand-carving keeps the character and feel of craftsmanship. After that, each surface is sanded smooth and finished with a layer of natural oil or varnish. This finish highlights the natural look of the wood while also giving it some protection from humidity and daily use.
Before leaving the workshop, every piece is looked over by hand. Details like the joints, the balance, the sturdiness, and the overall look are all part of the check. For custom orders, Fezapew follows a more personal process that includes listening to requests, offering suggestions, sketching designs, crafting, and reviewing the final result together.
If something unexpected happens during production or shipping and a shelf doesn’t arrive in good shape, Fezapew is always open to finding a fair solution, whether that means a replacement or return. It’s part of the way things are done here: take the time to do it right, and make sure people feel comfortable from start to finish.
How Fezapew Runs Day-to-Day
Fezapew is run by a small team of about 8–10 people, each with their own role but all sharing the same dedication to craft. The design team focuses on creating new bookshelf models and keeping an eye on interior trends. The artisans and carpenters shape and finish each piece with care. A small group handles quality checks before anything leaves the workshop, while the customer support team is there to chat, answer questions, and help after a purchase.
Because the team is small, everyone works closely together, especially when orders come in quickly. It’s a setup that keeps things moving without losing the personal touch. Messages and inquiries are usually answered within a day, whether through email, hotline, or live chat. The support system is set to US hours, so customers there can reach out at convenient times.
The website is built with SSL security, and payments can be made through familiar options like PayPal, Visa, and MasterCard. For delivery, Fezapew works with UPS, FedEx, and DHL to ship across the US. Each order comes with a tracking number so it’s easy to follow the journey until it arrives.
